The mission of the Advanced Transportation Technology Initiative is to keep California competitive as a national leader in advanced transportation technologies. Established to transform the workforce in the rapidly developing, technology-driven transportation industry, the West Valley ATT develops a broad range of training opportunities geared toward improving the environment and stimulating the economy while preparing California’s workforce for transportation industry advances. The innovative changes accompanying the transportation structure and economy of the 21 st Century will continue to encourage the ATT to evolve and update its mix of services and methods for delivery.

• Develop customized, flexible training, curricula, and related services in response to regional business and industry transportation needs and demands. 
  
• Develop integral partnerships and collaborative efforts with industry original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), research universities, public and private agencies, which allow for the successful transfer of technology to the marketplace. 
  
• Provide workshops, seminars, technical assistance, and certificate programs in the areas of Geographic Information Systems, Pavement Management, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Alternative Fuels, Autonomous Vehicles, Motorcycle Maintenance, and Transit Management.
