• complete prior to attendance, the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing Tutorial: Fundamentals for Remote Sensing ^
• begin a remote sensing project based on participants area of interest
• will be provided with a copy of the ENVI 4.7 remote sensing software (ITT Visual Information Solutions)

• This training is designed to help natural and cultural resource professionals and educators with GIS/GPS background acquire the necessary training in remote sensing to complete an assignment from their location. The training will focus on the use of remote sensing in the following topic areas, native and invasive vegetation management, fire, land use change and archeology (built features). Students will work on data from their respective locations using ENVI (ITT-VIS) and ARCGIS 9.3.1 as the training platforms.
