Students are expected to have basic sewing skills prior to beginning this program. If they do not have basic sewing skills, students should enroll in FD 50 Basic Apparel Construction.
Courses may be taken in any semester in which they are offered, provided prerequisites are met. However, the sequence listed as follows is strongly recommended.

To be awarded an Asssociate of Science degree, a student must complete all of the major requirements, and additional units to meet the college graduation requirements.
A certificate will be awarded to those students achieving a grade of C or better in the major requirements listed above.
