Program Information
The Marine Diving Educational Program (MDEP) prepares individuals for careers in
marine related environments and serves as an adjunct to many other career opportunities.
The certificated student will obtain skills beneficial to careers in law enforcement, park management, marine science and other ocean-related occupations.

- Marine Biology and Oceanography
- SCUBA Instruction and Leadership
- Divemastering
- Research Diving
(with private and governmental agencies such as NOAA)
- Park Management
- Dive Resort Management
- A Diving Safety Officer (aquarium and universities)
- Law Enforcement (evidence recovery, S & R, and homeland defense)
- Lifesaving and Rescue
- The Fire Service
- Diving Retail Management
- Research or Dive Vessel Crew or Captain
- Diving Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic
