ICC:
Barb Tuma & Shauna Aragon have attended the last few ICC meetings.
There is much to learn about how the club is supposed to operate at the college
campus. We will charter for our funds, and seek approval of our upcoming
events.
Mission Statement:
We updated our mission statement to reflect the recent "Mission
Statement" mandatory board meeting. Several officers were no-shows
and their positions are available again. Refer to the "vote"
section below.
Vote:
After the recent election a few positions remain vacant. These positions
are open to any Teachers of Tomorrow Club member that requests to be on the
ballot by March 25 2002. Officers must participate in club activities and
board meetings.

Read Across America
The read across America event was a great success. Click

San Jose State University
The Tuesday afternoon meeting was fortunate to have Julia Mena stop by.
She informed us about upcoming SJSU events and the summer program. She
gave out her email and phone to students interested in transferring soon. jmena@sjsu.edu,

Good Teaching Conference SCTA
A good time has had by all 8 of us who attended the recent CTA/SCTA Good
Teaching conference. Click here to read all about

Food Booth
The upcoming ICC Food Booth will be on March 20, 2002 from 11am to 2pm in the
cafeteria. Our club is sponsoring a table (Yea!) We need you
to sign up to work the table, and to donate food. Our booth is
selling Pizza & Apple deserts. Call Shauna 741-2409 to arrange
your time to work, and what food you will be donating. If you are to
busy to participate you can donate $ -- or stop by the booth and eat lunch on
that day.
Cesar Chavez Day
We are going back out into the local elemantary schools to read to the children
again. We will be reading a Cesar Chavez book in celebration of Cesar
Chavez Day.
Friday March 31, 2002 - is the event day - so contact Mae Conroy to schedule
a time slot 408-741-4602.
Teacher For Tomorrow Conference SJSU
The annual TFT conference is coming up soon on April 20th! There
will be 25 workshops to choose from this year so sign up early! You
can register on the Teach For Tomorrow Program web site. http://www.westvalley.edu/wvc/child
Women's History Month Film Festival
We have co-sponsored the film festival with Teach For Tomorrow
