Requirements for Participation

We are here to help you, but there are a few things we ask of you while participating in our program:

To ensure that we see you regularly throughout the semester and to ensure that you are on the right track to reach your academic goals, we require that each student meets with EOPS staff three (3) times throughout the semester - One time in the beginning of each semester for a group session with individual counselor follow-up and two additional times in the middle and end of the semester.

During these meetings, we make sure that students are on the right track both academically and financially to successfully complete his or her academic goals. We offer services "over and above" those offered by the college so that students can succeed in higher education. Because we play an active role in helping students achieve success, the three contacts with the program are MANDATORY. Failure to meet this requirement can lead to disqualification from our special and unique program.

Requirements:

Students must enroll, maintain, & complete 12 units each semester with a GPA of 2.0.

Students must complete 3 contacts with counselors and/or paraprofessionals.
