Whether you have an eye toward a career in these fields or are looking for a way to enrich your academic or personal experience, the Theatre Arts Department will help you learn, create...and grow!

In a lively, hands-on environment you will learn about the behind-the-scenes world of the theatre artist, the television studio production crew, and the film artist. You'll learn the history and theory behind the creative choices that these people make. You'll develop your imagination and creative abilities.

Our Department is equipped with a recently renovated 400 seat state-of-the art proscenium stage, an intimate 100 seat Chamber Theatre, and a fully-equipped and productive TV Studio which is linked to local public access channel, KSAR. All of these facilities are used actively and daily by our students.

West Valley College offers transfer programs to four-year colleges and universities, and two-year Theatre Art Associate Degree programs which specialize in Acting, Costume/Makeup, Stage Technology, Film and Television. Certificate Programs are available in Courtroom Videography and Video/Film.
