West Valley College Theatre Arts Department
Facilities
West Valley College Theatre facilities include a 400 seat proscenium Campus Theatre where our mainstage productions take place and a 100 seat proscenium Chamber Theatre for more intimate studio productions.

Campus Theatre
The Campus Theatre was recently renovated including new drapes, rigging equipment and seats along with a upgrade of both the lighting and sound equipment. The proscenium opening is 45' by 22' feet with an apron and orchestra pit. We are able to be creative in the space and mount productions using various stage layouts including arena, thrust, as well as proscenium styles.

The Studio Theatre
The studio theatre is an intimate 100 seat performance space used by both the theater and music departments. Its technical amenities are modest. It functions best with simplified set, light, and sound designs. Because of the intimate nature of the studio theatre, students are able to perform with more delicate acting styles, almost approximating that of film and television actors.
