Fashion Design and Apparel Technology

Partnering with the Community

Students from the Fashion Design and Apparel Technology Department recently produced original designs in miniature at the request of the American Heart Association.

Displayed here are just a few of the 54 original designs produced by the students. While the designs are unified by the color red, each design represents the unique interpretation of the designer.

The miniatures served as table centerpieces.

Miniature full length red gown    Miniature red gown with ruffled sleeves, skirt and gold accent at neck and waist.    Miniature short evening dress with petal-like skirt and large sheer bow at back.

Miniature full length red gown with long sleeves.    Short miniature red gown with two rows of large leaf-like ruffles on skirt.    Full length red gown with pleats

Red gown with full net skirt.    Sparkling red gown with one shoulder strap and net bow at back.    Strapless red gown with full smooth shirt and bow at back.
