Foreign Language Immersion Program
This program is designed to give students the opportunity to be in a foreign language environment
from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon at an off-campus site. Students are expected to communicate
only in the target language. In the past WVC offered French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, and
Japanese immersion classes.
Alpha Mu Gamma (the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society) was started at WVC in the Spring of 2005.
Alpha Mu Gamma honors students for outstanding achievement during their first year of foreign-language study in college.
