Jennifer Alvarez

Jennifer Alvarez has been teaching vocal technique for 10 yrs at home and at various high schools and colleges around the country to students ranging in age from 12 to adult. She graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, considered to be one of the top 3 conservatories in the nation for opera and musical theater, in 1997 with a Masters Degree in vocal performance and an Artist Diploma in opera. She has performed in numerous operas in Cincinnati, Ohio and Italy, as well as soloing with major symphony orchestras including Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Northern Kentucky orchestra and Orchestra at Lucca, Italy. She has also performed in many musical theater shows and recitals, and has won several awards in prestigious competitions including the Italo Tajo award in the Corbett competition and Three Arts vocal scholarship award. Currently Jennifer Alvarez maintains a private vocal studio, teaches applied music lessons and voice classes at West Valley College, does workshops for local high schools and musical theater programs, and performs locally in the South Bay area.
