
Sandra LaFave
WVC Philosophy
Sandra LaFave has been Chair of the WVC Philosophy Department since 1986.
She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Claremont Graduate School, and a B. A. in Philosophy
from Fordham University.
Dr. LaFave also has many years of experience in the computer industry as a technical
writer and trainer. She has published in UNIX World. She achieved less than
fifteen minutes of semi-fame in 1989 when Dave Barry singled her out as an
"extremely alert reader."
She is a member of the San Jose Symphonic Choir, the American Philosophical Association,
and the American Association of Philosophy Teachers.
