Pull out drop-in is a newer tutoring option which allows
students who do not have a weekly, scheduled appointment
to get a half hour of private time with a drop-in tutor
once per week, when possible.
There are times in our daily Drop-in Statistics and Chemistry
schedules when we are able to provide 1/2 hour private,
individual sessions. When this service is available, a student can be pulled-out of drop-in,
and into the private area for a private half-hour session
with a tutor. This is possible because this term we are blessed with many Chemistry
and Statistics tutors.
Pull out drop-in will give the student private, individual time with a tutor.
During this half hour, the tutor will help the pull out student
exclusively, not other drop in students.
After the half hour private session, the tutor and the student can return to the
drop-in area where normal drop in tutoring resumes. The
advantage is that, even for math, a student will be guaranteed
some private time with a tutor.
Pull out drop-in is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where more than one person wants the service, there will be a
sign up list. See Martin at the front desk for details. Until
further notice, this Spring 07 term we can offer this service
for all Chemistry and Statistics students. Consult the
drop-in schedules for subjects and times.
