Teachers of Tomorrow Club

Welcome to the West Valley College TEACHERS OF TOMORROW CLUB!

If you are thinking about a possible career in education, or are already well on your path to becoming a teacher or administrator this club is for you. As a student interested in the education profession (Early Childhood or K-12) you are invited to join the Teacher’s of Tomorrow club. We, the Teachers of Tomorrow, are committed to:

Strengthening the teacher community by providing fellowship and support.

Involving and engaging in activities that will strengthen our educational skills, abilities and knowledge.

Providing opportunities to be kept informed and address the broader aspects of education. (such as technological advances, governmental policies and issues, social issues, cultural sensitivity and philosophical controversies.)

Providing community outreach opportunities especially with local schools and students.

read across america logo dr. suess We are a busy association with big plans for the coming year. We have already participated in the NEA “Read Across America” event that celebrates the 98^th birthday of Dr. Seuss. We also attended the California Teachers Association (CTA) Good Teaching Conference. We are planning on attending further CTA/SCTA/NEA conferences as well as NAEYC / CAEYC & PAEYC for our early childhood teachers.

We know how busy your schedule is and have created both “Day” meetings and “Night” meetings to accommodate your schedule. Currently we offer the same meeting once a month on Monday at 5:30 to 7:30pm and again on Tuesday at 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Meetings are not mandatory, and information will be available on this web site, in AAS 50, and the Student Club board near the cafeteria.

This club is designed to help support you on your journey of becoming an educational professional. We are meeting the needs of early childhood professionals, and those interested in the K-12 profession.
