The Minority Advocacy Committee (MAC) monitors, advocates, and advises on diversity and minority issues on the West Valley College campus.
The purpose of this committee is to:
MAC brings forth recommendations to the College President regarding strategies for overcoming institutional attitudes that inhibit the recruitment/retention of minority students, faculty, and staff.
MAC members serve two-year terms and may accept successive appointments. The faculty facilitator will coordinate the activities of the committee and serve a two-year term. The committee or subcommittees will meet a minimum of once every two months or as often as needed.
The current committee meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month during the school year.
