BUDGET ALLOCATION MODEL SUBCOMM(DBAC)

Charge: To review and revise the Budget Allocation Model.
Terms: Indefinite.
CURRICULUM/STUDENT TEAM

Charge: To guide and coordinate maintenance and development activities associated with the Curriculum and Student components for the integrated Datatel system.
Terms: Permanent.
DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES COUNCIL
(1st W/Mth/As Needed-9-11:00am/BdRm)
Charge: Discuss issues to be presented to DBAC and District
Council.
Terms: By nature of position, indefinite.
DISTRICT BUDGET ADVISORY COMMITTEE (DBAC)
(Specific Wed@ 2:30 pm)
Charge: To address budget problems and act as permanent agent for faculty, staff, and student participation in the district's budget process. This is an advisory
committee to the Chancellor.
Terms: Ongoing plus one year for non-management.
DISTRICT COUNCIL
(Wed of Wk prior to Board Mtg (2-4pm Bd Rm/ July-Dec)
Charge: The District Council acts as the highest level
District-wide shared governance body, and is the conduit for communication between the college and
administrative councils, the Chancellor, and the Board of Trustees. The council offers advice to the
Chancellor, serves as an open forum for the discussion of district-wide issues, and reviews and discusses
items for the Board agenda prior to each Board meeting.
Terms: There are no set terms. Representatives serve at the
will of their constituents.
DIST. INFORMATION SYSTEMS PLANNING AND ADVISORY COMM.
(DISPAC)
(1st Fri/Mnth/2 hours)
Charge: Prepare and forward for District Board approval all District
standards, policies and practices related to the selection, funding, deployment, management and assessment of
information technology used in support of District-wide technology projects. In addition, DISPAC will forward
recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for approved technology-rleated projects that may be funded by a
funding agency. DISPAC will encourage communication, collaboration, and alignment between all IT groups to
avoid overlap in purpose and duplication of effort.
Terms: 2 years
Curriculum/Student Committee (CST)
(Second Friday each Month)
Charge: Manage the software requirements for the Datatel Integrated
Student System. Coordinatestudent Financial Aid with Finance and provide guidelines to IS for system
support.
Terms: Permanent
DISTRICT JOINT ACCREDITATION STEERING COMMITTEE
Charge: Coordinate issues of joint concern between Mission
College and West Valley College regarding the colleges' accreditations.
Terms: 3 years
EQUIVALENCY STEERING COMMITTEE

Charge: To provide direction in the development of policies
and procedures for implementation and monitoring of the mandates of AB 1725.

WVC Faculty, MC Faculty, MCAS President, WVCAS President, MC Administrator, WVC Administrator
WVC Management, WVC Classified Senate Rep., MC Classified Senate Reps., District, HR, Board of Trustees Member
Administrative Services, Student Reps. (2), Community Member
Charge: Each community college district shall establish a
faculty and staff diversity advisory committee to assist the district in the development and implementation
of the district's diversity plan. The Advisory Committee includes members of all historically
under-represented groups whenever possible.
Terms:
OPERATING & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE
(Weekly)
Charge: Coordinate technology issues that have district-wide
implications.
Terms:Membership is ex-officio for all members.
