You
are invited to join us for the running of the 32nd Annual
Los Gatos/West Valley Relays held at West Valley College. We will continue
to follow our two day meet format as a result of positive feedback from
the coaches and athletes involved. We look forward to two more great days
of track & field!
We
will also continue to run on our 2-part “rolling schedule”
for Saturday’s running events. Check the schedule for more information.

GENERAL
MEET INFORMATION:
- The
Frosh/Soph Division will be held on Friday, March 21st @ 2:30 pm
- The
Varsity Boys and Girls will compete on Saturday, March 22nd @ 9 am
- Only
Saturday’s Running Events will be on a 2-part “rolling
schedule”
- Weight
implements will be weighed in at the track shed:
- 2:00
p.m.~ Frosh/Soph Boys Division (Friday)
- 8:30
a.m. & 10:30 a.m. ~ Varsity & Girls Divisions (Saturday)
- The
meet will be held rain or shine. No entry fee refunds will be made.
- **Note:
An athlete may not compete in both Varsity and Frosh/Soph
events**
AWARDS:
- Custom
medals will be awarded to the top 3 places in all events including
relays.
- Trophies
will be awarded to the team champion in each division.
- Scoring
for all events will be (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)
ENTRY
FEES AND DEADLINE:
Entries
must be entered on DirectAthletics by Monday, March 17th, 2007 at 9:00pm.
Entry fees must be taken care of no later than the day of the meet (school
check, personal check, or processed school check request form).
- Your
entry fee is calculated based upon the status of your entries at 9:00pm
PST on March 17th.
- There
are no refunds for athletes that are scratched after the entry deadline.
- Individuals:
$5 per person per event entered.
- Relays:
$15 for each relay team entered.
- Maximum
entry fee of $500 per school
- Please
make checks payable to Los Gatos Athletic Association.
- Send
the entry receipt from the DirectAthletics website and fees to:

- If your
team is entered you are obligated for your entry fee even if your
team is a no-show at the meet.
T-SHIRTS:
Traditional
Los Gatos/West Valley Relays T-Shirts will be available for sale during
both days of competition. Northwest Design of California will design original
graphics for this year's Relays with individual athletes' names on shirts.
RACE
DAY:
- Check-in
and scratch your runners at the check-in table located at the north
end of the straightaway.
- RUNNERS
MUST BE CHECKED IN 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THEIR EVENT
(typically 2 events before) OR THEY WILL BE SCRATCHED!!!
- Field
event athletes may check-in directly at their event site prior to
the start.
- We will
comply as closely as possible with the time schedule.
- When entering
athletes in the following events, please use marks from comparable
HS events.
- 400IH
- please use 300m IH time ONLY
- 1500m
- please use 1600m time ONLY
- 3000m
& 5000m - please use 3200m time
ONLY
- Be advised
of the following minimum measurement standards for Saturday only:

- Substitutions
can be made BEFORE the meet begins. No substitutions after 3pm on
Fri. (F/S) or 9:30am on Sat. There will be NO ADDITIONS.
- Substitutions
are only with athletes already entered in the meet
- Please
note that this meet will go on rain or shine. No entry fee refunds
will be made.
- Coaches
and athletes are reminded that if an athlete competes in the Frosh-Soph
Boys Division on Friday afternoon, he may not compete in any Varsity
events on Saturday.
- Because
of the large numbers of field event athletes, contestants will be
subject to the 1 minute rule (athletes must begin their attempt and
complete their effort within 1 minute of being called, except for
the pole vault, which is 1.5 minutes).
- REMEMBER—ONLY
1/4 " SPIKES CAN BE USED.
- The
no false start rule will be enforced in all races.
- The
NO Jewelry rule will be enforced in all events.
