Gaspar Silveira | Head Coach

Gaspar Silveira enters his 19th season as the leader of the West Valley College Men’s Soccer Program after many years of recent success highlighted by numerous conference championships and strong play-off appearances. Gaspar Silveira has coached for more than 20 years at a variety of different levels including professional, university, junior college, and ODP. He coached in the A-League with the California Jaguars and also helped establish the women’s soccer program at Notre Dame de Namur while serving as Athletic Director. Gaspar played collegiate soccer at Chico State University where he was one of the team’s leading goal scorers. Coach Silveira holds his Master’s Degree in Physical Education.

Bradley Thornbrugh | Assistant Coach

The 2011 season marks the 9th year that Bradley Thornbrugh has been on the coaching staff at West Valley College. In that time Bradley has been instrumental in progressing numerous goalkeepers on to the next level. Bradley Thornbrugh has coached for more than 15 years at a variety of different collegiate and high school programs, soccer clubs, and has also served as a District II ODP Staff Coach and Cal North State ODP GK Coach. He is currently coaching at the De Anza Force Soccer Club in addition to his regular private trainings. Coach Bradley holds his NSCAA State, Regional, and National GK licenses.
