West Valley College is spread out over 143 acres in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. With the oak trees, grass and a stream running through campus, West Valley is one of the nicest campuses in the area. The soccer facilities are very appealing to all soccer players from high school to college to the professional level. The beautiful 110 by 75 Bermuda grass soccer field is located in a bowl like setting with a spectacular view of the mountains and was host to the 1998 Community College Men and Women’s State Soccer Championship.
The Women’s soccer program started its first season in the fall of 1996. Over the sixteen years of the programs existence it has accumulated an overall record of 180 - 140 - 44 and has appeared in the Northern California Community College Playoffs twelve out of the seventeen years. Each year the program gets stronger and continues to grow and develop, especially with the dedication and enthusiasm of the coaching staff.
The women’s soccer program at West Valley College is a comprehensive program, which focuses upon both academic and athletic development. The goals of the coaching staff are to develop the student athletes so that she can compete both academically and athletically at a four-year institution. As a West Valley student/athlete, you will find out that the coaching staff and faculty at the school are dedicated to making your education a memorable one.
West Valley has two full-time athletic counselors to direct all the intercollegiate athletes on the right track in to obtaining their degree. They offer numerous services, some include individualized educational plans for each athlete each semester based on their skills, previous course work, grade point average and personal goals, eligibility rules, transfer information, drop-in counseling and study skills and career planning courses. In addition, West Valley also offers tutors in all academic classes, small class sizes and a very friendly environment.

2012 SEASON:
At the conclusion of the seventeenth year of the Women's Soccer Program, the Vikings had an overall record of 6-9-5 and a conference record of 6-4-4. Sophomore Angela Artadi and Freshman Emily Beasley were named to the first team all-conference. Sophomore Victoria Pham and Freshman Michelle Delgadillo were named to the 2nd team all-conference. Sophomore Ashly Langford and Freshman Brittany Wisecarver were named to the honorable mention team. Angela Artadi participated in the sophomore showcase at Mt. Sac on December 1, 2012.
