Child Studies

Welcome to the Child Studies Department

Circle Time The students enrolled in Child Studies courses at West Valley College can make a difference in the lives of children and the future.  Courses are offered in the morning, afternoons, evenings, and weekends with focus on theory, research, and program practice. Financial aid, tuition and book subsidy, on-campus childcare, and childcare tuition subsidy are available. Most courses prepare students to transfer to the CSU system and into a Bachelor’s degree program.

 

The variety of certificates and AS degree prepares students for the following career paths:
