Accounting Transfer Degree and Certificates
Although West Valley College offers no degrees in accounting, accounting courses are required courses for two business degrees. Accounting 10, Financial Accounting, and Accounting 11, Managerial Accounting, are both required courses for a student to earn the Associate in Science in Business Administration for Transfer Degree. ACCT 50, Accounting for Small Business, is a required course for a student to earn a Business Administration AS Degree.
Both ACCT 10 and ACCT 11 are fully transferable to both California State University and the University of California.
Accounting Clerk Certificate of Achievement
The Accounting Clerk Certificate Program is a one-year program designed to provide basic training in accounting procedures which will enable students to qualify for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping accounting jobs. The courses offered at West Valley College include a computer component designed to give the students working knowledge of the way accounting is done in today's technological environment.
