


Learning Disability Services can provide assessment for learning disabilities. In addition, assessments from a private specialist or another educational institution can be reviewed by a Specialist for eligibility.
For eligible students, classes are offered in basic skills, including learning strategies, reading, basic math, and writing. Depending on individual student needs, referrals for specific support services may be made.

LS 930A Assessment for Learning Disabilities - Evaluation by professional Learning Specialists to assess for possible learning disabilities
Support Labs
LS 931B Effective Learning: MATH LAB - Application of math strategies for algebraic, and other mathematical course work. Taken concurrently with a designated Math Department course.
LS 943 A & B Writing Support - Application of writing strategies for English course work. Taken concurrently with designated English Department courses.

LS 001 Learning Strategies for College and Life --Study skills, goal setting, time management, memory, test taking strategies, note taking, learning styles.
LS 933A Effective Learning: Fundamental Arithmetic
LS 941B Effective Paragraph Writing - Paragraph development, organization, and basic grammar and punctuation is addressed.
LS 941C Effective Essay Writing - Essay development, organization, and review of basic grammar and punctuation are stressed.
LS 942 Effective Critical Reading - Practical applications of strategies to improve comprehension and analytical reading.
