First, make note of the information below, then enter the California Community College Online Application process at cccapply.org.

Online applications are processed within 72 hours. You will receive an initial email confirming receipt of your application within 24 hours and then a final email that includes your West Valley Student ID number and registration date. Contact the Admissions & Records Office (408)741-2001 after 72 hours if you have not received this information. (Please be sure to bring a photo ID i.e. school ID or Driver's License to conduct business in person.)

Obtain a free West Valley College Student ID and registration sticker at the Admissions & Records Office.

Parking permits are required during the semester and they can be purchased online.

*NOTE: High School Students who wish to participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program need to print out their application forms and submit it in person at the Admissions & Records Office. High school transcripts must be submitted with the application forms. A complete packet is required each semester.

  • Do you have an email address? Most correspondence will be by email.
  • Counseling Services: Our counselors can help you complete an educational plan, prepare transfer agreements, select a major or career, or help with a personal issues. Appointments can be made by stopping by the Counseling Center, located behind the Admissions Building, or by calling 408.741.2009.
    Drop-in counseling is also available. Students who have difficulty coming to campus to see a counselor are welcome to use our distance counseling service for assistance in answering basic questions that are academic or procedural in nature.

  • Financial Aid Office: Student financial assistance opens the door to post-secondary education for many who could not otherwise afford its cost. The purpose of financial aid is to assist eligible students in meeting educational costs while attending school. West Valley College offers programs to provide assistance for students with documented financial need. Financial need is the difference between the cost of education and the resources available to the student.
