The STEM Hub (aka STEM RC) comprises the Math Resource Center (MRC), located in room 5 of Science & Math (SM5) and the Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program, located in rooms 4 and 5 of the North Walk Portables (NWP 4-5).
The STEM Hub provides academic support to promote student success, organizes events to engage students with science and the community, and connects students with internship and research opportunities. Students can access free drop-in peer-tutoring at both locations as well as connect to tutors via Zoom. Additionally, the STEM Hub provides access to group tables, study rooms, whiteboards, computer stations, textbooks, and calculators and other supplies.
All students who enroll in a STEM course at West Valley College are automatically added to a central Canvas course called "STEM Resources." The Canvas course serves as a central hub for all current semester information, such as tutoring schedules, research & internships, scholarships, events and announcements.
