  • Prerequisite - a course or skill that is required before you can enroll in a particular course
  • Corequisite - a course that you must take at the same time as another course as a condition of enrollment
  • Advisory – a course that is a recommended preparation, not a requirement

Some courses in this catalog will not be scheduled in the current year. West Valley College reserves the right to add, discontinue, postpone, or combine classes and to change instructors when circumstances warrant such changes. Further, it reserves the right to cancel classes that do not reach a minimum enrollment.

Only the following types of courses are repeatable:

  • Noncredit courses
  • Intercollegiate athletics
  • Courses that CSU and/or UC require repetition of to meet requirements for a bachelor’s degree.
