Health Science

The Health Science Department offers a variety of courses to prepare students along their pathways to reach degree, transfer, or career goals. Our courses support students pursuing degrees and future careers in public health, health science, or other health-related fields. In addition, students of all majors can take our classes to meet IGETC or CSU general education and transfer requirements. A thorough understanding of human health and well-being is crucial to all individuals and our courses are grounded in an interdisciplinary approach to support students who have a variety of interests.

  • A range of courses from hands-on First Aid and CPR/AED training with certification, to theoretical courses with a focus on practical application. 
  • The Public Health Science for Transfer degree (AS-T in Public Health Science) prepares students for related programs at the bachelor's degree level and upper-division work in health-related majors.
