Industrial Design (Tuition-Free)

Manufacturing design is the process of designing products in a way that makes them easier, cheaper, and more efficient to manufacture. It's where engineering, product design, and production planning come together. Choosing materials that are cost-effective and suitable for the intended manufacturing process. Making sure the design fits the capabilities of the chosen manufacturing method (e.g., is it moldable, machinable, or 3D printable?).

Highlights

A makerspace lab with the most advanced 3D printing technology, laser cut machines, CNC routing, and more is available to the Design & Architecture students for the development of their creative projects.

West Valley College is very supportive to our students, in fact we are one of the few institutions letting students work on their projects free of charge for the materials they use.
