The West Valley College Library is open to our neighbors! The West Valley College Library team is excited to announce their new Community Borrower program, which allows adults (18 years and over) to obtain a West Valley College Library card free of charge.

“To celebrate the opening of the Wang & Qu Family Learning Resource Commons, we felt it was important to invite our friends and neighbors into the Library and to offer the opportunity for folks to access our broader collections,” said Director of Library & Learning Support Services Joanna Messer. “Pick up a community borrower card, browse our shelves for your next great read, and have a seat at one of our study tables, a corner carrel, or take the book home with you!”

In addition to visiting the Library’s stacks, community members can enjoy the vibrant Café Vasona – and even bring their coffee or light lunch into the Library while they read.

Community borrowers can check out up to 10 items at a time from the Library’s collection of physical books, CDs and DVDs for 3 weeks (21 days), with the option to renew twice more. When checking out materials, borrowers must present their West Valley College Community Borrower Card. Community borrowers can also access the internet and online resources inside the Library at one of the eight public-access workstations located near the Information Desk.

To become a West Valley College Library community borrower, interested persons should bring their current driver's license or state picture I.D. with their current address and telephone number to the Library’s Information Desk in the Wang & Qu Family Learning Resource Commons. Additional terms and conditions apply; details are under the Community Borrower Card tab on the library’s homepage.

The West Valley College Library is closed between sessions and for certain holidays.
