Course Description
This lab provides students with hands-on practice of the skills and techniques introduced in the introductory Home Health Caregiving course. Students have an opportunity to apply principles of patient care, safety, infection control, and communication in supervised simulated and real-life scenarios. Emphasis is placed on ethical and professional behavior, critical thinking, and adapting care to diverse cultural, social, and family contexts. This course prepares students for fieldwork and real-world caregiving, reinforcing competencies needed to succeed as a home health aide.
