Course Description
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to expand expressive and receptive skills in American Sign Language. Instructors provide vocabulary and grammar knowledge to achieve intermediate proficiency in the language and offer materials to deepen students' knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture and history. Topics covered include conversation strategies, opinions, complaints, arguments, storytelling-handshape stories, ASL stories, and community activities.
