Course Description
This course is a continuation of CHEM 001A. The units of study include solution equilibria, titrations, pH, solubility product, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, coordination compounds, kinetics, and nuclear chemistry. The laboratory consists of data-driven analyses of chemical principals and techniques, including the synthesis of a variety of compounds. Honors chemistry uses the pedagogical methods common to all Honors courses: writing-intensive, collaborative, and experiential instruction. As an honors course, there is a focus on analytical writing and exploring the field through reading primary source research.
