Course Description
This introductory course provides a historical background of disabilities in the United States. The course covers definitions, historical events, models of disabilities, and services for people with disabilities. Students have the opportunity to learn and grow from a greater understanding of the human rights, social justice, ethics, and legal mandates related to Disability Studies.
