ECON C2002H: Principles of Macroeconomics - Honors

Course Description

An introductory course using models of the domestic and international economy to understand national income, unemployment, inflation, economic growth, inequality, the financial system, and monetary, fiscal, and other economic policies. This is an honors course. Students from all backgrounds and with various educational goals have the opportunity to gain valuable critical thinking and problem-solving skills to help improve their academic, work, social and personal lives. Principles of Macroeconomics - Honors uses the pedagogical methods common to all Honors courses: trans-disciplinary, writing-intensive, collaborative, and experiential instruction. As an honors course, there is a focus on analytical writing and an emphasis on a higher degree of student participation and leadership in class discussions and other interactive teaching/learning techniques that are generally unsuitable for larger undergraduate courses. This course used to be ECON 001BH.
