Course Description
This course is the second course in a series of two and is intended for students who are interested in the medical field utilizing the Spanish language. In this more advanced course, instructors provide students the opportunity to expand their medical terminology and grammar. Students have the opportunity to experience a wider range of communicative settings related to the medical field. Topics include pre-natal care, pediatrics, immunizations, dermatology, and optometry. Medical and cultural topics related to the Latino/a/x community include childhood hunger, the role of midwives, and drug abuse.
