Certificate of Completion

The Google UX Design Certificate develops proficiency with basic information technology skills. This program prepares the student for entry-level career positions and transition to a credit certificate or degree program requiring UX/UI design foundational skills. It offers key product design and development design thinking methods and tools as practiced in the industry. Students will be much more competitive if they already have a Bachelor's degree. Possible careers include, but are not limited to: User Experience (UX) Designer, UI Designer, Interaction Designer, Visual Designer, Product Designer UX Researcher, entry-level UX/UI designer, UX Researcher, Information Architect.

Upon successful completion of this program a student will be able to:

  • Identify the factors that contribute to great user experience design with focus on empathy and equity.
  • Design a user experience for a social good: Start and complete the UX Design process following design sprints and utilizing UX design tools and best practices; plan, conduct & analyze research, emphasize, ideate, create mockups and user flows, low/high-fidelity prototypes, test, literate and communicate UX design deliverables.
  • Build a professional online presence and prepare for finding a job in UX design field.
