Biography

I started working in the corporate world in my early 20s and later on, pursued my love for teaching preschoolers. After getting married, I went back to school to learn about early childhood education. I worked as a preschool teacher in various child development centers in the Bay Area and formed my philosophy of teaching young learners. I took a break from work and stayed at home to raise our two children.

When our children were old enough, I decided to become a student again and earned my Master's degree in Child Development. My goal to teach students, and soon-to-be educators of young children, in a college environment is a dream come true. Here I am now, at West Valley College! It is a gift to be in the Child Studies Department. This is a community of lifelong learners and I hope to inspire students to be the same.
