Biography

Born and raised at a tiny island in the Philippines, Lucille moved to California in 1991. Besides English, Lucille also speaks Ilonggo, a Philippine dialect that has many similar words in Spanish. She loves spending time with her family, trees, sea breeze and sand. She enjoys driving on the coast along Hwy 1 and spending some time at the beach, even when it is cold.

Lucille has served in the Early Childhood Education field for over 30 years, first as a Montessori guide in the classroom for 2–6-year-old children, as a private Montessori school administrator, and now as an all-around support for the MC CDC staff and administration. She also serves as a teacher trainer and mentor at a South Bay Montessori teacher training center. Her favorite quote is from Maria Montessori, “The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind.”
