West Valley College scholarships are designed to recognize accomplishments and to provide tangible encouragement to students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, community service, and financial need.

The funds for these scholarships are provided from a joint investment of contributions from the private sector and from West Valley College employees.

Study Soup: Women in Technology Scholarship We launched the StudySoup peer-to-peer learning marketplace in 2014. When we were in school, we found that success in the classroom can be a pretty ambiguous thing. Every class has hours of lectures and dozens of readings. Come midterm time, most students are overwhelmed and have no idea how they should study. Without fail, however, there are always a few top students in the class who know exactly what it takes to be successful.
Engineering and Technical Science Achievement Scholarships Applicants for the Engineering and Technical Science Achievement Scholarship must be a woman undergraduate majoring in engineering or technical science. Applicants must have an overall grade point average of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
AfterCollege STEM Inclusion Scholarship AfterCollege provides quarterly scholarships to support current students who demonstrate professionalism and a passion for their future career.
Google Scholarships+ Explore our student and travel scholarships, both aiming to support and inspire pursuing careers in technology
Google Scholarships+: Generation Google Scholarship (North America) The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive $10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2021-2022 school year.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a university degree. Scholarships are available, on a competitive basis, to: High school seniors, Undergraduate students (all years), Community college students transferring to four year universities, and Graduate Students.
PG&E Scholarship At PG&E we're focused on California's future. PG&E has a wide range of scholarships to help the next generation of Californians succeed and innovate in both Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) based majors and other disciplines.

Close to 150 scholarships were made available last year. These STEM-focused or Employee Resource Group and Engineering Network Group-sponsored scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000.
SWE Scholarships: Society of Women Engineers The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In 2018, SWE disbursed approximately 238 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $830,000.
National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering NACME is responsible for over $3 million in scholarships awarded annually to underrepresented minority (URM) students. NACME expects to support approximately 1,000 underrepresented minority engineering and computer students annually.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation SVCF administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school seniors, college and graduate school students, and re-entry students. Annually, we award close to 500 scholarships totaling more than $2 million. Through scholarships established with SVCF by individuals, families and organizations, we have awarded nearly $17.9 million to students since 2007.
