General Information

Designed to provide insight to the African diaspora, this program approaches the cultures, sites, and rich histories of each European landmark city through the lens of the Black Experience. Through expert facilitated discussions and guided learning, topics such as change and continuity and historical significance will prompt new and engaging perspectives while inviting critical thinking about the evolution of these communities, their complex pasts, and vibrant presents.

  • See London through the lens of the Black experience in England on a walking tour led by your Tour Director
  • Visit with The Black Curriculum, an organization focused on delivering Black British history all across the UK
  • Visit the British Museum with an expert guide to learn about artifacts and collections from a perspective of Black history and experience
  • Tour Brixton, an Afro-Caribbean cultural hub in London that embodies both change and continuity, with an expert local guide
  • Visit the Black Cultural Archives Heritage Center, an organization dedicated to collecting, preserving and celebrating the histories of African and Caribbean people in Britain
  • Participate in a Black History lecture to learn, reflect, and challenge perspectives

  • See Paris through the lens of the Black experience in France on a walking tour led by your Tour Director
  • Visit the Arc de Triomphe

  • Spend time exploring Paris on your own
  • Travel by train to Amsterdam
  • See Amsterdam through the lens of the Black experience in the Netherlands on an expert-led tour and boat cruise
  • See Amsterdam in a new way on a boat cruise through its picturesque canals
  • Participate in an activity facilitated by the Anne Frank House and aimed at broadening your understanding of, and engagement with, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
