The Community Caregiver Certificate is a program that prepares students for employment as personal care aides and home health aides in home and community-based settings. Students will learn how to provide person-centered support that promotes clients’ safety, dignity, and independence; apply effective communication and ethical practices in diverse care environments; and demonstrate foundational caregiving techniques used in home and community settings. Graduates of this program may pursue employment as Personal Care Aides, Home Health Aides, or Community Caregivers in residential care facilities, senior centers, private homes, and nonprofit or community service organizations.
