Academic Partnership with NASM

NASMWest Valley College has an Academic Partnership with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). The NASM Fitness Personal Trainer textbook is used in the PE.TH 42 course, and many students use this course to prepare for the national certification exam to earn the NASM-CPT credential. PE.TH42 is primarily a lecture course, and it is recommended that students learn practical experience by courses offered in the PE department, the Certificate of Achievement Program, or an off-campus provider.
