Meet with a Counselor

Congratulations! You are ready to meet with a counselor. West Valley College utilizes a platform called Starfish for Counseling meetings. When you go to schedule your meeting, be sure to have your West Valley username and ID number handy!

Once you’ve set up your appointment, watch for an email that includes the link to your actual meeting portal. During the meeting, be sure to tell the counselor:

1. You’re a new student wanting the Community Grant, so you need an ed plan.
2. If you’ve taken any AP classes or prior courses.
3. What your major is (if you know – no worries, if you don’t!)
