You may complete identity verification before or after filling out your application. However, your application will not be delivered to West Valley College until your identity is verified or you are cleared through another approved process.

The California Community Colleges has partnered with CA DMV and ID.me to protect your identity and streamline the admissions process. Both options provide secure, trusted pathways to verify your identity for your CCCApply application.
You have three options when prompted:
- Verify with CA DMV Wallet - If you have a California Driver's License and a compatible smartphone
- Verify with ID.me - If you have acceptable identification documents
- Click "Verify Later" - Skip verification and continue your application. Your application will not be delivered to the college until your identity is verified.

Within 48 hours after applying, you will receive a welcome email with your Student ID Number and WVC Username.
NOTE: If you do not receive an email with your Student ID Number within 48 hours, search your inbox for a message with the subject, “Welcome to West Valley College” and forward that message to wvc.admissionsFREEWEST_VALLEY
Once you receive your welcome email or text, activate access to your portal, and WVC systems.
