Ghostlight – Directed, Designed, and Produced By Students
Started in 2008, Ghostlight is a completely student run summer theater festival. Under the guidance of our faculty and staff, students produce a festival of new and short plays. The performances are acted, directed, designed, managed and promoted entirely by Theater students. ALL are welcome and ALL who audition will be cast. Contact Amy Zsadanyi-Yale for more information.

Production Meeting
Spring production meetings are every Wednesday from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM.
Auditions for actors are the first class meeting. Bring a prepared monologue to share, if you have it, or you will be given something to cold read.
The cast will be decided after auditions. The first read-through will be on the second night of this class.
- The West Valley College Theater Department welcomes all students, employees and community members to audition for our shows.
- All cast members are required to enroll in Thea 21B, or Thea 22B to participate in the production. Registration must take place the day you audition.
- WV college theater is committed to a policy of diversity and inclusivity in casting. Roles will be cast on the basis of merit, without regard to race or ethnicity.
- All auditioning actors have the option to do a monologue in front of everyone but this is not required.
- While waiting in the lobby, please be courteous to other actors by not making excessive noise.
- The audition process requires that prospective actors completely fill out the audition form.
- The director of each production makes the final decision regarding casting with input from the department.
- If, in the opinion of the director, a suitable cast cannot be selected from those who have auditioned, auditions may be extended beyond the original schedule, or else specific individuals may be invited to fill the need
