The purpose of the AIE committee is to guide the college accreditation activities to ensure the college’s compliance and alignment with accreditation standards and to lead and support the college’s process to continuously improve institutional effectiveness (the extent to which the college meets its mission). | Sustainability Commitee | The WVC Sustainability Committee is a group of faculty, staff, administrators, and students that strive to engage, educate, equip, and empower the college and surrounding communities in social, environmental, and economic sustainability issues. | |
| Budget and Resource Advisory Council (BRAC) |
The purpose of BRAC is to make funding recommendations to assist the college president in the overall budget and integrated resource allocation process. BRAC establishes the procedures, policies, and criteria used as the basis for evaluating budget matters proposals. Reports to College Council, and is not a Brown Act committee. |

The purpose of the Curriculum committee is to review and advise on all course and program curriculum at West Valley College. This is a Brown Act committee. |

| Classified Senate To effectively engage in the college and district shared decision-making process by collecting, evaluating and disseminating information for the classified community; representing the aggregate interests of classified professionals before or on any college or district committee or task force; and to promote activities which provide an opportunity for enhancing the involvement and development of classified professionals. This is a Brown Act committee. |
Classified Senate Professional Development Working Group |
The purpose of this committee is to plan and help implement professional development trainings for classified professionals at West Valley College. This is a Brown Act committee. |

The purpose of this committee is to plan and assist in the implementation of social and recognition events of the Classified Senate; this includes Classified Appreciation events, awards and recognition, wellness events, fundraising and other social functions. This is a Brown Act committee. |

Associate Students of West Valley College (Student Senate) The Associated Students of West Valley College strive to protect and advocate for the student body’s best interests as well as better their educational experience as a whole. This is a Brown Act committee. |
Budget and Finance | Ensures transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment in the use of student funds. Members of the committee actively oversee and provide input in the creation of tentative budgets, helping to shape financial plans that reflect the diverse needs and priorities of our campus community. |
| Activities Committee | Reviews budgets for each campus event to make sure resources are used effectively, and creates opportunities for all students to get involved. This committee is a welcoming space where students can share their ideas and help shape engaging experiences on campus. | |
| Outreach Committee | Ensures all students are informed about campus events by making information easily accessible. Efforts include designing flyers, creating engaging Instagram posts, and collaborating with the Activities Committee to plan and promote events. | |
| Bylaws Committee | Responsible for reviewing, revising, and updating the rules and regulations that guide student government. This committee works to keep our governing documents clear, fair, and responsive, so that student government can best serve and represent all students. |
