I'm the Director of the Entrepreneurship Program at West Valley College. I started my career at Lockheed Missiles and Space (which became Lockheed Martin) and then joined Applied Materials where I spent most of my career in new product design, test and launch. I opened the first Wingstop Restaurant in San Jose and later built and operated two more in the area. In my spare time, I serve on the Saratoga City Council and am the current Mayor. As the entrepreneurship program director and faculty, my main focus is on student success, equity and empowerment. I feel it is important for students to realize they can have big ideas, chase their dreams and seize market opportunities.
I am a second-generation Italian-American raised in the Bay Area. I enjoy spending time with my two children and dog. I also enjoy boating, waterskiing, running, riding my motorcycle (dirt and street) and I LOVE CHOCOLATE. In fact, I would live off See’s Candy (Nuts and Chews) if I could.
Entrepreneurship is the great equalizer. It doesn’t discriminate or succumb to artificial ceilings. If you have a good idea and execute well, you have every chance to succeed.
